The concept of liberty manistests itself in the exercise of our free-will. Our country was founded to protect, enhance and preserve the free-will of its citizenry. Since the depression, however, the Democrats and leftists in this country have been killing liberty with every social progam conceived to expand “equality”. Liberty and equality, with the notable exception of the moment of creation, are often mutually exclusive, and the acceptance of ”equality-based” policies is slowly killing liberty.
The signs are there: Hillary Clinton’s healthcare mainfesto, her statement that “fairness comes only through good government policy“, John Edwards movement to eliminate poverty, the movement to provide amnesty to criminals crossing our borders and the scary powerful environmental movement just touch the surface of liberty killing policies. The purpose behind these ideas and movements is not the furtherance of liberty, or free-will, but the imposition of action by our omnipotent federal government.
These policies, though perhaps well intentioned, lead to the kind of government control that many of the great leaders of this country fought and died to prevent, and we are on the verge of electing someone who will sell our souls for their notions of “equality”. Leave equality for the French, we choose liberty.

The latest national polls are telling. Nearly a quarter of Republican voters, when asked who they favor in the primaries choose, “None of the Above.” Can anyone blame them? In what has generally been an exception to the rule, America finds itself in the midst of a difficult and trying time in its history without the kind of capable leadership that has so often found its way to the top.
The American Revolution was spurred by some of the most gifted minds in world political history – Franklin, Jefferson, Adams, Madison, Hamilton, Washington and others. The critical early years of the Republic were guided by their steady hands, and America was placed on an unlikely and unparalleled path to prosperity.
During the tumultuous frontier years, capable men like Andrew Jackson came to the fore, and the providential choice of Abraham Lincoln saved the union from destruction. Men like Theodore Roosevelt shaped America into a world power and reminded citizens that the government is one of and for the people. Franklin Roosevelt helped pull a nation out of the Great Depression and successfully fought a global conflagration on two fronts. Men like Eisenhower kept us strong, men like Kennedy reminded us of our mission, and men like Reagan helped restore our pride and renew our spirit. None were without controversy, but all were capable, gifted, leaders.
Now faced with one of the great challenges our time, the cultural clash with radical Islam, and a worldwide power shuffle consisting of rogue regimes, ineffectual allies, and global economies, our political process has produced a paltry field of candidates to assume the office of President of the United States. At a juncture of great historical importance, we are asked to choose the best fruit from a barren vine.

Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney took aim at Democratic rivals on Sunday. The proverbial gloves were off as Mitt attacked the candidates one-by-one, citing reasons why each were unprepared to lead the country. Here is the breakdown:
Senator Clinton supports Marxism:
“Hillary Clinton just gave a speech the other day about her view on the economy. She said we have been an on-your-own society. She said it’s time to get rid of that and replace that with shared responsibility and we’re-in-it-together society … That’s out with Adam Smith and in with Karl Marx.”
Senator Edwards is basically uninformed or willfully delusional:
“To have someone like Senator Edwards stand up and say there’s not a war on terror, that it’s a Bush bumper sticker” is unacceptable, he said. “There is a war being waged by the terrorists. If I or any other Republican president is running this country, there will be a war waged on the terrorists.”
Barak Obama’s healthcare plan is the wrong answer:
“Barack Obama said we’re going to have to have the government take over health care. He at least had the integrity to say he wants to raise your taxes … The right answer is not a government takeover, it’s not socialized medicine. It’s not Hillarycare.”
The Democrats are taking positions on healthcare and the economy that are contrary to the concepts of liberty and the basis for the establishment of our Union; this kind of criticism is just the voice the Republicans need. Will it be enough for Romey to finally gain the attention of conservatives?
